A month and a week? has gone by.... and projects, tests and everything just starts pouring in... I really can't wait to just let down my hair and enjoy life during the holidays...
I miss all of my IJ friends.... Miss ya'll so much girls.. I wanna go for IJ fiesta this coming friday too...
This is still the beginning... I have not got a taste of Student Council and Net Ball added to my life of projects, tests and homework... I really hope I will pull it through...
Be it being in ITE, Poly or JC... life is never easy... All we have to do is keep striving for the best and study really hard...

Besides having to wait a super long time for Mr Lim today... ~_~ all of us made the trip to school worth while! (: I really miss going to school in IJ... it's one place where I grew up and met all of my friends! :D I know i'm gonna miss alot in IJ but life must go on (:

Our catch-up session at Coffee Bean today was really great (: I really hope all of us can meet up as often to stay in touch and keep our friendship alive (: will be looking forward to saturday~

If anyone is free from now till school starts please give me a call..I would very much like to go out and spend time with my friends as much as possible before we start with our busy lives! PLUS...I really need to get out of the house... I'm spending my holidays doing house chores and doing nothing else but slacking away... ~_~hehe... XD

Last year is history...

I started out this year badly due to what i have done last year... and I have not been able to set a proper goal and a proper resolution this year because my mind was filled with worries of my 'O' level results....

Now that evrything is pretty much straightened out, I am able to think more clearly now and am ready to move forward.... but beofore I set out my goal and my resolutions, here is reflecting on how I got on with the week....

My results have really put me down this whole week and I was stuck in my worries and regrets... However, my friends, family and the liturgical biblical diary brought me back to reality and make me come to my senses.

As the days went by besides having to submit my choice of courses and doing house chores, I have enough of time for myself and I decided to read the passages in the liturgical biblical diary and find myself reflecting on the words in the book that helps us connect the readings to our everyday lives. I discover ways that I can improve myself in and from reflecting on the words, I become more aware of the things that I do as well as the way I act infront of others.

And it really helped me through these few days. My friends and my family members were the ones who helped me get through this by supporting me no matter what.

Thank you Emmanuel, Jonathan, my dear choir friends for accepting as I am. All of you are my second family and I love you guys (: thank you for being there for me and helping me through the difficulties that I face. And I do encourage you to really reflect on the readings in the liturgical biblical diary that we received. It helped me with my difficulties, I am sure you will be able to connect to what is inside it and hopefully it will guide you with your daily life too. This year has just began and I look forward to a further journey with all of you(:

I know we all have our different results and we all are going different ways now... I will definetely miss all of you I love you all so much I'll never want to lose friends like all of you and I know that we will all accept each other no matter what.

We've been through alot together and I only wish to stay in touch with all of you and stay as sisters and mother(Cui Lin) XD Whatever results we all have, be it good or bad, its a new year, a new life. Let's strive towards what we wanna do together and hopefully be able to go out and catch up with each other ya? (: I love you girls always. My goal for this year is to work my very best in ITE and get into polyat the same time manage my time better and take my priorities seriously...

My resolution this year is to stop my procrastination OFFICIALLY and I gotta stop bing lazy cause these are the 2 things that pulled me down... I'm not gonna let it drag me down any further...

Its a new year... a new life... I will do my very best in everything that I do and hopefully be able to succeed in future...

To all my friends: please slap me back into reality if you find me slacking off...I'll be very gratefull for that (:

Results are out... i am definetely not happy about anything... i got freaking 31 points for my L1R4..... i can make it no where but to ITE..... but i'm willing to accept it.. if not what else can i do?? it's also pointless to cry over it.... i know i must move on no matter how hard it is...

I feel hopeless.... i fear that no one would ever allow me to be trusted with things the same as before... I feel empty now... It makes me feel isolated from everyone else.... I guess I have to accept whatever consiquence there is.... I still want to handle cathecism class... I still want to serve God through music as well.... I just hope that others still trust in me.... that i can be relied on to do things in Church.... cause that's my only joy... serving God is my only joy now.... I've made stupid mistakes to get all this results... and i want to correct them....

I'm afraid that people will change their thoughts about me... i don't want friendships to change or anything of that sort... I feel hopeless....

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Caroling on the 23rd was super fun! XD Although when we all sang at my place, it was kinda squeezy DX sorry bout that guys! but none the less it was a joyful experience and we had the real fun at Uncle Kenneth's place :D ! we sang and dance and ate till we were all contented and we went home.

Christmas eve the next day was supposed to be fruitfull in the afternoon with my family members as my parents wanted to visit my uncles and aunts from my father's side of the family, but no one was home or were hesitant to allow us to go to their place... i guess i could say that??
However, that wouldn't spoil our christmas mood so my parents, my aunt, one of the aunts from the 9am warden group and myself, went to nex and had lunch at Sushi Tei.. then i noticed that Emmanuel did not have any lunch plans so i asked my parents if he could join us, they agreed for him to come however, he didn't want to come so too bad (:.

Anyways after the lunch and a change into my dress for mass, my dad gave me a lift in his rented car to church for practice. Later then that i realised that i had to come out with my own tune for psalm! After a while of listening to tunes on my iPod, I finally came out with a tune for the psalm. And went into Church with the tune in my head. When Jonathan played the old tune for the psalm, I offered the tune I came up with and he said it was good to go :D and i'm like ' oh okay yay! i came out with my own tune! XD'
okay.... that was for the children's mass at 6pm...

After 6pm mass was done, Joshua and Emmanuel needed a chnage of clothes for midnight mass and leave their presents at Shaun's place. We managed to get Cheryl's Dad's car and with Shaun driving, the car ride would be very interesting. Besides the point, we had to return the car at a certain timing and we managed to buy up our dinner too. After having dinner, we had one final practice before we sang for mass.

Afew if us had to do readings and i was one of them (: well besides all that, we took alot of photos in chruch after mass until my parents came and pick me up after their bbq. My mom asked if any of my friends wanted a lift so since Josh stayed near by and Jerrard and Emmanuel were sleeping over at Shaun's place, we gave them a lift.

The next day, i had to get up early and do some last minute stuff XD and was almost late for practice but i managed to make it in time as i took a cab down to church with all the presents that were heavy. But all these were worth the effort. (: I must say. After that it was no lunch plans and down to my cousin's place where i caught up with a little of my sleep and enjoyed dinner and chatting with my family members frommy mother's side.

The following day was 7am mass and i was singing psalm XD well it was okay i guess but my throat was really dry in the morning after we had breakfast, we sang for 11am and the psalm if i might say was the best psalm i had ever sung out of all the others where i had made mistakes in.
I was happy with myself for once XD. After mass, we took a walk down to Hanae's place where we had our last Caroling session there.. half way through, Kimmy was feeling unwell, probably due to the weather... it was good that she was fine eventually... we had a long time of fellowship and lunch soon after and left near 4pm.

I didn't feel like going home cause my parents were playing mahjong with my grandparents and i would have nothing to do.. Emmanuel didn't feel like going home to so we went to AMK hub for awhile and he bought his game there.. soon i felt tired and am ready to go home for some rest..

Christmas this year passed by really fast... just like the rest of the year has... i hope that time would slow down at least next year.... In anycase, I misserd going out for dinner with my girlfriends! ): cause my mom went out with her friend... I miss you girls so much! I'm really sorry i couldn't make it...

'O' level Results are coming! D'X I hope i'm able to get into SP with the course i want... anyways good luck to everyone with that!

I guess i'd better treasure the time i have now till then..

OMG..... time has flown.. and its 2 more days to christmas.. but shopping and doing preparations during the past week was fun. Doing the christmas crib took alot of effort and it certainly was tiring... but when you're working with people like Emmanuel, Jonathan and Joshua it's kinda fun altogether. And it feels good to have people looking at it and taking pictures of it as well (:

I'm really excited for tmr! its Caroling day! XD it'll be my first time caroling and i guess it would be wonderful cause i'll be spending time with my second family, the SMK choir. Nothing could be more important than spending christmas with my family and friends (:

Very soon it'll be time to start the new year... i really hope that time will slow down this Christmas so we can enjoy this time of Joy and Love with everyone and as well as to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord.
I think that if we really celebrate Christmas remembering that Christ is born on this day and really change ourselves for the better, we'll feel greater joy than anyone could ever experience.

I guess my verdict to the debate of whether Christmas has really lost it's true meaning is :

I guess we all get carried away with the material things that comes with Christmas and yes it is bad. However, it does not really mean that it's totally bad in a way because this is the way we celebrate it with the rest of our friends who do not share the same faith, drawing us all close together. As Catholics, we should always put the birth of Christ as the centre of this whole event and these take the gifts exchange and feast as ways we express our joy for Jesus's birth. Christmas has not lost its true meaning. Ironically I myself forget about the whole reason of why we celebrate Christmas all these years and it's this time that i realise what joy it can bring when we know of how to celebrate it properly. I guess its all about priority at the end of the day.

Guess I better keep this blog alive (: , time had passed really fast this year.... now that O levels are over, graduation night very swiftly... and now everyone is either looking for a job or enjoying their holidays.

Christmas is coming soon too... I hope I find a job before then so that I can earn enough and hope to do something for others this christmas.. (: besides all that I hope to improve on making accessories, my guitar playing, nail painting and maybe go back to doing cross stitches and sewing..

I'm looking forward to activities in church too like caroling, setting up the crib which btw is not really discussed as to what to do yet...

All in all to my friends from IJTP lets keep in touch and go out together k? ^^ will be looking forward to spend time with all of you often... if that's possible with our jobs and all in future.. (>.<)

To my friends in SMK choir, I look forward to the journey ahead of us as we grow in faith together and the fun times we will experience together this christmas (:

SA camp was very enriching...

i feel that wearing masks and changing youself because you want to be accepted by others is not you.. we must always look inside ourselves and reflect and see who we really are...and i think that is what keeps us happy... we must accept ourselves as who we are... and be ourselves more often...

God made everyone of us beautiful... we are his MASTERPIECES... he never leaves us alone whenever we're in need... all of us just have to turn to him for help... but we look down on ourselves too much... each one of us is beautiful on the inside boy or girl.. and we need to show more of ourselves..

i personally have worn masks before...but i find that just being yourself can get you to have a stronger friendship with others...and really have true friends that you can have for a life time (:

during the small homily at mass, i realise that friendship goes a long way... and it is the most wonderful treasure that you could ever have.. after hearing that... i started to think to myself and started thanking god for every single one of my friends...cause they are who you can turn to for help and not make judgements of you.. you could tell them your problems and they could give you solutions... they are that listening ear in your life that reaches out to you...

i want to make a change in my life and be myself.. though it would be hard.. but time would help...

Message to secondary 5/1 closs of 2010 in CHIJ Secindary ( Toa Payoh ):

though we have known and been with each other for 3 years or so... maybe less..or more... i hope that we can be together as a class ans clear our biggest obstacle this year.. our O levels.. and make the best out of this year not just in our small cliques in class but with everyone as a whole... it'll be great to think that we all would get 6A 1s together (: but just as a goal. (: lets make use of what we have learnt through all these programmes that we have been through though we may find it useless or boring.. either way, i hope we all keep in touch after our O levels and be friends that can last for a lifetime.. let's all try to be more open and accepting to others in class... it might seem weird but you may never know how that person is like on the inside. I love you 5/1 (:

being yourself may not always be the best thing for everyone right now.. but i put a dare to all of you to be more open towards your friends. Even those who are close to you... Be youself and know that you are always beautiful in god's eyes... who knows... maybe you might be beutiful in other people's eyes (: Take that step forward and see why god is always there for you even if you have done wrong...he loves us very much because he made us all his masterpiece...every single one of you are unique in your own way... im always a listening ear if you have any problems to deal with. and i welcome all of you to share them with me (: if you ever need someone to talk to... to let out something in your mind.. be it stress, anger, sadness...anything at all.. im all ears and will not be selling out news fresh from the oven if you tell me anything.... Time is passing by really fast...i just wish it would all slow down.. exams are coming.. so is PFT.. the N lvl art paper is dued in July?.. yeah.. and i have not done much.. i need to study hard too.. sigh.. just got so many things to do..

so frustrated... why do the sec 3s have to go and do damage to the mannequin... we borrowed the mannequin from Tangs for our global village project... our mentor help us with it.. after the global village, the mannequin was always left in 4/7 which was safe.. until they had to switch classes with 3/9 cause someone broke her leg and could not go to class all the way at the 4th level... it was after recess when returning to class when we saw that the mannequin's hand fell off.. we went into the classroom to put the hand back properly and discovered that the hand of the mannequin was scratched... not only that...the rest of body parts were scratched and dismented... the toe on one of the mannequin's leg totally chipped off... and its not ours... we borrowed it.. and need to return it... when we asked 3/9, they said that class 3/10 did it during CE lesson... so did 3/10 put the blame on 3/9... both classes did not admit their faults... who now then i gonna pay for the mannequin? the state its in right now is far worse then when we 1st borrowed it... that is the question that comes up every single morning when i go to school... just tired of worrying about this situation everyday..

4/7 even told 3/9 not to touch the mannequin when they moved up.. and the reasons both 3/9 and 3/10 gave did not make any sense at all... i know its parcially our fault.. but.. urgh.. just need to get this out of my mind...

self-awareness camp was fun
we should try and start doing things together as a class and really help those that feel left out... everything said during camp should be carried out.. it should not be left alone and it should not be for the sake of saying it in camp... but it would be better that we take all these steps and make a bond with the class. In this way, there maybe less conflicts and less shouting in class...which will be much more better...

what does it mean to see someone off?...why do we cry when they die even though we know that they are going to a better place?..how do u exactly feel when someone close to you as passed on? happy? sad? or just a mixed feeling... i guess different people react differently ro this... not everyone can feel the same way in this kind of situation...

for me... i've been grieving about the lost of my family members who have passed on they are close to me.. everyone is important to me... my family and friends... i'll never want to lose them..
i've been thinking about this since i was in primary 5... after my grandfather died...i started to realise how painfull it is to lose someone close to you..

my grandfather always listened to the radio. He turns it on everyday with a very loud volume. Now come to think of it... i think i know why i was never focusing well in my studies..as being in primary school, ofcourse not all of us are allowed to study outside of home..every single time i tried to study, i would still get distracted.. as a result... i did real badly in my studies...

i was always complaining about the noise level at home made by my grandfather.. but now come to think of it... i should have treasured him more.. now it has been 6 years since his gone... sometimes when i look back, its as though he had gone too soon.. he never saw me do well in my studies before.. he was not around to see me go into secondary school..

now.. knowing that he would not be their for my graduation, i just wish he was there.. he always gave me advises and supported me.. some times i just wished that i could talk to him again... to tell him how life in secondary school is like.. how i miss him..his presence at home...the mini outings he always took me out for when im free..

having known and are aware of all this, we should treasure the company we have with our family members and friends, never take things for granted in life...thats what i learnt.. and since primary 5 i've decided that if any of my friends or family members are in danger, i would not hesitate and would give up my life for them, even if its someone that went against me, i'll still do it for them..

during outreach ...

we started by singing christmas carols... i just had to have the mike and lead the whole grp...~_~...oh wells...anyways i was not the only one using the mike :D ....well after 2 songs... we played bingo with the elderly...especially with one that looked 15...whom is actually 127 years old and has 27 grandchildren.. lols it was joshua... he took the bingo paper and started to play along..without any pen actually... well numbers went by and he got 4 numbers in a row how lucky right? he almost won...hahas amazingly...he waited for the last number 22...which father brian did not draw out...until the next round when we started a new game...uncle mike drew out the 22 that joshua had been waiting for to win the game lols...poor joshua...oh wells...even if he won ha cld'nt win anything because it was for the elderly people to play hahas, better luck nxt time then. XD

it was the last day at genting...

well my parents and i were having our breakfast...everything went fine...the food was great and drinks too...my father got me fruit juice so i didn't mind at all...he got a cup of coffee for himself and a cup of tea for my mum...they started taking a packet of wat seemed like sugar and poured it into their cups respectively at the same time...not that weird isn't it? the both of them stirred their drinks well and had a sip of it..."why does the coffee taste so salty?" my dad questioned both my mum and i...my mum too was wondering why her tea tasted salty too...hmm...akward silence for afew seconds...did they really add in sugar?

they started to compare the sugar packet and the salt packet...wow...they mistook the salt packet for sugar...the sugar packet was definetely fatter and abit bigger in size compared to the salt packet...geez...i guess this is wat u get when u spend the whole night out at the casino...and find urself doing weird and crazy stuff in the morning at the breakfast table...sigh...oh wells...conclusion...nxt time when u are old enough to go to a casino and its ur last night in genting, go ahead hav fun~ but becarefull wat u do in the morning at the breakfast table...

i wan sch to end very soon :'( but cant...still got to go back for lessons until the 31st of october!
oh well...at least its not tat bad...i think i wld not be touching any computer games nxt year...i am not planning to spend my time playing computer games...i don care im gonna study real hard nxt year...

now after being confirmed for 1 month now...we still hav cathecism...but where will all of us be after cathecism end? would we all seperate ourselves from church? wld we stay in ministries to serve in church?

i just hope that all of us wld continue to stay close to god and not wonder off alone thinking that we can do everything on our own...

now we may all want to join different ministries but is our commitment strong? well all i hope is tat we wld keep our faith strong and always believe that god is always there for us whenever we need him and that he is always guiding us each and every step of the journey we are taking...

one fine day after our art exam was finally over...and after going out for lunch...
marianne and i started out by going to bugis mrt station. we wanted to go to sun shine plaza to collect smth from her seller or buyer...we did not noe how to go to sunshine plaza and therefore walked around the area...we walked one whole big round jus getting to sunshine plaza cos neither one of us knew how to get there. so ok...now we got to sunshine plaza..she takes the clothes for her dolfie and we left...how do we go back from here?

we did not noe how to go back...so again we walked arnd trying to find how to get back to bugis mrt station... but guess again...we ended up walking until we cld see the singapore flyer...the esplanade...and even suntec city...we seriously walked until we reached no end when we saw all these...like wth? how did we even get to see the singapore flyer and the esplanade...did we walk that far?! seriously... the both of us were tired...its like 2 IJTP girls lost in Singapore...

lesson learnt... next time if u r lost... ASK FOR DIRECTIONS!...
